Swim first, talk second, about an old persistent issue.
h3. About Today’s Show
It is a deeply ingrained habit for humans to divide into groups of us and them. We can laugh when Bush does it (rather comically I find) but that sort of division is incredibly pervasive. It’s hard being an outsider. It’s fun wanting people to share what I believe or value. But who hasn’t been caught up at various times feeling bad at being on the losing team, the minority, the odd man out … why the slogans just go on and on!
Maybe now in this information age it will be easier to tolerate differences without being threatened by them or needing to sweep them all away.
Hawaiian words
Kanaka ʻē: outsider
