Beach Walk 583 – Flexible Formulas

I’ve had this darn cold for two weeks now and it’s having a hard time going away. Mind you, I have not been helping it!

Working late, adding more to my work load for some time-sensitive projects, keeping up with the day job instead of taking a day or two off to rest or even taking a nap now and then!

But part of the fun of being a grown up is I get to reject my own advice now and then and push hard for things I really want to accomplish.

Beach Walk 578 – Elephants and Giraffes

My cold came back, and so I am dressed for warmth (NOT fashion!) on this windy morning!

There is the very old email that I received again last week from a very dear friend. Reading it this time I figured out why I didn’t like it. It has that superior, “gottcha!” energy to it, and when examined, is actually based on a grammatical and logic errors. Read it yourself here and note the second comment from “Anon.” This person came to the same conclusions as I did, 🙂 Thinking outside the box is a great concept, but it rarely can be boiled down to something so simplistic and illogical as this little ditty. It just gives consultants a bad name. And really, we do much more useful stuff for our clients than make them feel stupid for not being able to guess the “correct” answer to juvenile, artificial constructs.

Hewa: error

Beach Walk 575 – Ducking the Drama

I have acquired a cold, and given that I am speaking at the Hawaii Advertising Federation in two days, my monkey mind and the full moon were really working me over in my sleep last night!

So I decided to practice some EFT (as mentioned in Beach Walk Episodes 389 and 390) to shed some of that “what if” drama. I do believe it is helping. Please wish me well by Thursday morning! I also have been using the Bach Flower Remedy, Elm, as my friend Jen of Ebb and Flow TV once recommended to me.

Beach Walk 536 – Got a Cold; So What?

I caught a cold this week; some would say because I work too hard, but then again, a little friend of mine had a cold and I was busy wiping her runny nose a lot!

I am not a believer in absolute rights – that somehow if I lived “right” I wouldn’t have caught the cold. Even if it was from all my hard work and long hours, so what? I choose to push myself very hard; if that means I crash a little every now and then, it’s OK by me. It’s about getting off my case, thinking I should somehow be different, that life would be better without speed bumps. Sounds really silly as I write it, but I know, it’s easy to get caught up in things in the moment!

If you are new here to Beach Walks, I talk about the #2 personality in Episode 102
