Beach Walk 535 – The Energy & Etiquette of Thank You

It is Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. and I must say I am a big fan of remembering and expressing thanks.

The Hawaiian word for thank you is mahalo which is defined by gratitude and respect – a far deeper feeling than an Emily Post-style of cursory thanks. Mind you, I am a big fan of personal thank you notes too though! Just because your mother used to hound you to send your TY notes, doesn’t make them all bad. I think we are all so busy (and stressed too) that we easily forget to take time to acknowledge each other. I know it means a lot to me just as much at work as at home.

We are also the very thrilled recipients of a beautiful piece of original art, “Lexi at Lanikai” by Steve Jensen. You may remember, he and his wife Marliss were on the show a while back – Beach Walk 499 – talking about the power of visualization.

Hawaiian Word:
Mahalo: gratitude, respect
