I’ve had this darn cold for two weeks now and it’s having a hard time going away. Mind you, I have not been helping it!
Working late, adding more to my work load for some time-sensitive projects, keeping up with the day job instead of taking a day or two off to rest or even taking a nap now and then!
But part of the fun of being a grown up is I get to reject my own advice now and then and push hard for things I really want to accomplish.

Hey Roxy;
So…since you made a series of conscious and authentic choices, I’d like to support your being kind and self-validating in the face of the cold lingering. The choice was not to take what might have been the fast track to healing– by slowing down :-), and while the cold persists, you had your other experiences.
Perhaps some expansion/deepening of acceptance of what’s happening in the body would support your immune system, now, as you are clear that you feel peaceful about your choices, and the cold is likely just a nuisance.
I totally support your notion that we can really know something, and choose to make other choices, and this can be its own kind of wisdom and self-care.
And perhaps you can sneak in a nap today…
