I met four very nice guys with beautiful tattoos and great tattoo stories too.
We parked next to these gentle men who were just returning from the beach. I hope you will be as touched by their stories and politeness as I was. I love these unplanned encounters with interesting people.

I remember getting an ear pieced in my 20’s and my Mom went ballistic – a tattoo would have probably cost me my life!
I’ve admired tattoos, but always remember growing up around WWII vintage men that got tattoos when they were young, and then when they were much older their older skin just distorted the artwork terribly. And then again, that was old school technology and inks – it’s probably very different today.
There sure is a sense or feeling of old Hawai’i (That I’ve only read about) in this interview. For relatively young folks, and guys, to be articulate, warm and friendly is a Hawaiian Travel Bureau’s dream – yet this interview was all impromptu and natural.
I really enjoy the positive energy and the interaction between you and the guys – seems like the less hard a person looks, the more that is revealed, eh?
Thanks to those guys for sharing their beautiful tatoos and their stories.
