Beach Walk 269 OTR – Parents Promote Diversity

When I see this title, it feels like Biology 101. But I’d like it to weigh in with Psychology too!

I’ve had some observations after visiting with my parents. First, I was reminded of the fundamental relationship principle: opposites attract. Then I realized how the offspring of a couple shares those opposites in multiple ways. And actually becomes a bridge of peace, an expanded consciousness, and hence it is unstoppable that we are moving towards a greater sense of understanding each other. Though yes, some days it feels slower than a snail’s pace.

Anyway, I was half asleep and sleep-deprived, so this show may or may not make much sense to you. It just seems like a brilliant, subversive mechanism to get us disparate souls connected slowly but surely.

Tomorrow, I fully expect to be back at the beach in Hawaii!

Hawaiian words
Makua: parent
Keiki: children
Malu: peace

  1. Great episode, couldn’t agree with you more.

    And damn the shadows! 😉

  2. Very good subject. Diversity is definitely a good thing or this world would be quite boring. Another example of that, is the fact of you living in 2 places. With NM and HI as the opposites, they are both enriched with very different cultures (although both very spiritual – in my opinion) and completely different climates. I bet that always keeps the things that you appreciate about the other place very fresh in your mind.

    Aloha!

  3. Wow! you guys actually understand that half awake ramble. 🙂 It definitely would have looked better I think if I had walked into the sun. But I was really short on time and could not find sunglasses and he he! Beach Walks doesn’t fake it up for anyone. 😉

It is funny the sharp contrasts and the many similarities between Honolulu and Santa Fe…I do love travel as it can be such a mind-opene\ing experience.
