Beach Walk 29 – Always More Waves

Relationships follow such predictable patterns!

About Today’s Show:

Lots more talk today on the difference between how the #1 aspect of my personality approaches relationship vs that little #2 trouble-maker. Be on the lookout for absolutist words like now or never, always, and so forth. That’s #2 speak. Also realize that it seems to hold pretty true that while you and your boyfriend’s #1s may be in love, there is a good chance your #2’s can’t stand each other after the glow has faded. And they’ll be looking for trouble, coloring your thoughts and feelings.

Surely you realize that the person you fell in love with has not actually changed so drastically in such a short time? Nor have you. But the #2’s start sowing seeds of discontent. You can reclaim your thoughts and feelings though, by keeping things in perspective. While there are plenty of fish in the sea, there is also a never-ending supply of waves, so no need to fight over which one is yours.

Some nice surf shots of Flat Island in the distance and lost of aloha as the electric company repairs some downed power lines.

Note: On the iPod rejecting videos, it’s actually an iTunes thing. A recent iTunes software update started rejecting all videos that were not .m4v. Apple knows about it and said they are working on it. We are putting up this and all future videos as ..4v so it should work now. We are also updating all the previous ones.

Hawaiian words
Huia: a surfing wave
Nalunalu: rough wave

  1. Ah, at long last, happy Beach Walks goodness on my iPod! Looks great! Hope the tweak doesn’t cause headaches for other systems.

  2. Me neither. I’ve been asking of folks want the file as WMV but so far no takers. I am counting on our visitors to speak up regarding their preferences!

Aloha Ryan and thanks again for keeping us on your pod. Rox

  3. By the way, I see you posted the file as an M4V. I’d wager it would still work with the MP4 extension, and as such would cause fewer headaches for Windows users (who don’t have an application defined for Apple’s bizarre made-up extension) as the guts are the same.
